Meet Tatiana Roberts

Before starting my journey with Surface Pattern Design, I was working full time in the service industry and feeling incredibly stuck. Then the pandemic struck and I was unemployed, uninspired, and feeling so lost. I knew that I needed to make some changes and finally let art and creativity back into my life. 

Immersion was this bright light guiding me out of my slump. This course had all of the tools I needed to achieve financial, location, and time freedom. I knew I had to take the leap and invest fully in myself if I wanted to live a full, fulling creative life. I was then drawn to Bonnie's warmth, and her kind, generous spirit.

Immersion is an investment. I admit that I was terrified of the cost, considering I am still paying off student loans. I was so scared that this would just be another debt my future self would have to endure. But I can assure anyone reading this, that it's worth every penny. Mastering Adobe Illustrator alone has been such a game changer! That skill-set in my pocket has brought me multiple clients and a strong foundation for a career in surface pattern design. 

My absolute favorite part of the course was the community and study groups. Everyone from Bonnie's team to the fellow students was simply wonderful. I was blown away by the amount of love, compassion, and support from this group of people.

Since the Immersion course, I've started to build my creative business. I have a website, a Spoonflower shop with consistent sales, a growing portfolio, the courage to pitch my work to potential licensing companies, find regular clients, and I've started treating my side hustle as a business and elevating myself and my work. 

My dream goal is for my creative business to fully support me financially, while allowing me the freedom to work when I want from wherever in the world I want. Immersion has given me the knowledge that this goal is attainable as long as I stay consistent and do the hard work. We are better together with just one thing a day!
