Meet Tanya Brown

Before I joined Immersion, I had already had a career in surface pattern design but worked more with clients and selling my artwork outright. I was interested in learning more about licensing. 

When Immersion came around in 2021, I was a bit hesitant because I already had design knowledge. I thought how much could I learn? Well, the answer was a lot!! I gained a lot of knowledge and skill and built upon what I already knew. It boosted my confidence tremendously! After years of designing it pushed me past the 'imposter syndrome' phase into the 'I AM a surface pattern designer and this is how I make my living’ phase. I was thrilled to be a guide in the 2022 Immersion Course to help new students! I love what I do, I am obsessed with patterns, and I am so grateful I get to have this awesome career.
