Meet Maria Campagna
I was unaware of the potential of converting my art to surface design, quite frankly I didn't even know the term surface design existed. I knew that making original art is a trade of time for money and I wanted a better way. When you ask the universe for help it gives you the help you need if you are willing to see it.
In late 2019, I learned about Immersion but was financially unable to afford it, and I missed the scholarship deadline. So, I committed to learning more on my own. Quickly I realized that learning on my own was not a viable option. In 2021, I was able to invest in Immersion. I dedicated all of my free time to completing the course. Learning Adobe Illustrator prompted me to learn other programs such as Procreate, Affinity, and Fresco. The artwork that I have created is now on POD sites such as Society6 and Spoonflower with sales slowly increasing. I also created a 2023 calendar that was printed and sold out in pre-sales!!!
With a strong desire and willingness to not only learn but be open, I dare say vulnerable, you can reach your goals. Immersion is an investment in your goals and your future. It is an educational and emotional investment that can not be taken away and does not depreciate. You will be fully supported during and after Immersion.
Because of the support and confidence I gained during and after Immersion, I submitted my artwork to ArtPop Street Gallery and I was selected to have my artwork presented on billboards and digital media throughout the Charlotte, NC region and nationally for the entire year in 2022. I believe that I would have never been selected had I not invested in Immersion, learned how to work in digital spaces, and believe in my art and skills.
