Meet Laura Adams

I've been a textile designer in the residential and commercial markets for nearly 30 years. I joined Immersion to get a different point of view on design and to understand licensing and what other markets might be available to me. I’ve purchased several programs in the last few years and worried that I wouldn’t get enough out of this one to justify the expense. But it has been the single best thing I’ve done for my creative life in a decade.

The camaraderie, encouragement, and transparent sharing of knowledge and skills has been incredible. Since completing immersion I’ve created 4 collections, a new website, new products for wholesale, have a licensing contract on the table (not sure if I’m going to do it), have an artwork vendor contract on the table, have finished my first Skillshare class, and am working on my next one. To anyone on the fence, I would say not to hesitate.

This has been a wonderful experience for me, and even a year after Immersion, I’m still benefitting in so many ways. I honestly don’t know if I could have gotten this far in such a short time without it. I’m looking forward to pursuing a more creative lifestyle. One that I’m not sure I realized was possible before immersion.
