Meet Joanne Groff

Before taking Immersion 2022, I was creating artwork for my small, creative business and thinking about my next right step. I knew I needed to learn more about business and expand my skills to create more options for myself as an artist. At the time, I designed primarily in Photoshop but had minimal experience using Illustrator. I realized Immersion was my next step if I wanted to grow my abilities as an artist. 

Learning Illustrator with the expert team (and my own small group of fellow creatives) was just what I needed. It was presented in a way that was fun and interesting. I loved how the lessons were structured and pushed me to explore further on my own.

When I did my end-of-year business evaluation, I was surprised to see that I’d created 50+ patterns for wrapping paper. For many of these patterns, I also created matching cards, mini cards, and gift tags. My business is still small, but I now have more tools with which to choose my next steps, and I’m feeling more confident in recognizing my illustration style.
