Meet Elina Parhomenko
When I first heard about the Immersion I was at the stage of "I like those patterns, but how to build them? how to sell them? how to create a business out of them?". I was searching for my path in the illustration and design world, and I barely knew about surface design from both technical and business perspectives.
The main reason why I took the Immersion was the fact that the course covers both the technical and business sides of surface pattern design. I watched Bonnie's free mini-course before making my decision and liked how she explained the workflow of pattern creation. It was a life-changing decision to take the course, I could say.
During the course, I learned A LOT, how to build patterns and create collections, how to use Illustration, and how to build a business. Since completing the Immersion I've created my Instagram account @dumkart I've created 5 pattern collections, which I'm selling on Creative Market (as a part of bigger projects) and Redbubble.
I'm taking part in Spoonflower challenges, and one of my patterns was featured on the spoonflowers' Instagram. I'm working on my website dumkart.eu and planning to finalize everything before the end of January. Currently, I'm working on my sixth collection and creating the list of agents to send my application. Looking forward to getting my first licensing agreement in the first half of 2023.
I'm still keeping in touch with the girls from my support group, we are having zoom calls every second week, supporting and motivating each other - that helps a lot. All that happened thanks to Bonnie and Immersion! Thanks
