Meet Caroline Hirst

I was an in-house international scientific conference organiser in France then a freelance translator based in the U.K with creative yearnings after studying Art in school. I am determined to nurture, embrace and find self-fulfilment in creativity in the years I have left (aged 67).

Immersion taught me the skills for Surface Pattern Design (SPD) and nothing held me back. I invested in myself. I loved and still love Immersion. I loved the deep-dive into the processes and organisation of SPD. I can now use Illustrator and create patterns but still need to work on and learn a lot about more complex designs. I have also spent months deep-diving into Procreate.

Immersion is the best course to go from A-Z in SPD using Illustrator and learning about the business of SPD. In 2022, I aim to consolidate by creating patterns for Spring & Christmas for stationery and a few products maybe, start on Instagram and maybe upload to POD. Am looking forward to being more productive rather than consuming and to learning Photoshop and Illustrator on the iPad. I’d like to be able to create largely on iPad. Thank you Bonnie & team!
