Meet Bärbel Dressler
Before I took Immersion I already had a design business and had licensed a range of designs with companies around the world, but since I'm a self taught designer I have had to piecemeal my education on my own, which always made me feel a bit insecure about not having a formal education to lean on - and I felt there were aspects of surface pattern design that still didn't know very well.
After taking Immersion I feel even more proficient with Illustrator (although I thought I already was before), I have more knowledge about the business side of things and Bonnies advice and process for contacting and marketing to companies has helped me get clients that have resulted in several pattern commissions with companies around the world.
One thing that Immersion also has taught me is that in order to get results you must be willing to invest - with time, work and sometimes money. It's been worth every single hour and penny and I've been back two times after my first round. I just wish Immersion would have existed when I first started out. It would have made thins soooo much easier - and fun!
