Meet Ann Gardner

While I was freelancing as a graphic designer, one of my clients asked if I would design their wedding invitations. I really hadn't thought of surface design as a career before that. I came across Immersion through other designers, but I was hesitant to sign up because I already had a good foundation in Illustrator. I'm glad I took the leap. Immersion took my skills to the next level, opened my eyes to the world of pattern design, and exposed me to industries such as fabric, wall covering, and wrapping paper. 

What really struck me about my Immersion experience was how encouraging everyone was. Bonnie and the Immersion team are very supportive and genuine. I was blown away by the level of sharing of knowledge, industry insight, as well as the amount of encouragement I received. 

Since taking Immersion, I've created a website and portfolio, pitched clients, and have just licensed my first collection. It's a wonderful feeling, made even more special because it was the first collection I created during the course.
