Before I started Immersion in 2023, I ran a successful organic, children’s clothing business, but I decided I wanted to make my products even more unique by designing my own patterns for each of my collections and ultimately to be able to say that every item was designed, printed and made in the UK!

The main thing that held me back when I was considering taking Immersion was the cost of the course. I went back and forth for days trying to decide if it was the right move but with the financial help of both my siblings, I finally decided to go for it! I’m so pleased I took that plunge because it opened a whole new world of design for me.

I loved how detailed the course was, leaving no stone unturned. I came out the other side with the skill of Adobe Illustrator under my belt. I was a complete beginner when I started Immersion, and now I can easily and comfortably navigate Illustrator to complete many design tasks.

In the last few months, I designed my first full collection, printed the organic fabric here in the UK and made my first children’s clothing collection for my company Little Olive! I reached the goal of having a completely UK-designed and created company. Seeing my own patterns on my own designs for the first time was quite the moment! The feedback from my loyal customers was the boost I needed to keep going with this, so I’m now in the process of designing my next collection which I’m hoping I can start to sell elsewhere too.

I wouldn’t have achieved any of the above without the Immersion course. The knowledge I gained from Bonnie is priceless, so if you’re on the fence about Immersion like I was, I would definitely say that the skills you come out with are worth every penny!
